- Secure the bottle; note strength, number of tablets or liquid volume, and time
- Call pet poison control or an ER immediately — cats are especially sensitive
- Do not wait for chocolate-colored gums or facial swelling to appear
- Do not give any more over-the-counter pain relievers
- Transport with the packaging
